Nothing makes me more excited about moving to London than the fact I will no longer have to catch First Great Western trains. For example this evening I arrived promptly for the 1845 service but First Great Western failed to keep up its side of the bargain and no train was forth coming.
As I type its 1930 and there’s still no movement I don’t expect we will be out of Paddington for at least an hour and then the train will be so packed that the Daily Mail or Express will run a story about cattle being more adequately accommodated. Still it’s lots of fun seeing how people cope with the boredom there’s one man who has expressed more air by sighing toward the ceiling than one could conceivably breath in half a life time and another who has decided to call home and whose partner is giving them an earful as if it were somehow their fault.
I pay just less than £5500 for this service and it would be unbearable were it not for the lunatics who catch this train. 2135 and I’m home good night.
