The hotel is very nice and the evening we arrived was the last night of some Digital product manufacturer* people that I actually knew so they
were the life and soul of the party and got us all in the mood.
The thing about press trips is that they tend to be a total bore. Yes the view from my hotel room is magnificent but all week my day starts at 8 and ends at 6. There's nothing unusual about long days at work but you have to sit and listen to people spout marketing speak about products that raise only a murmur of interest. The title of Tuesday afternoons
lecture is Form Function Emotions that's scanners, Hunt Drew is still to come and I'm no closer to guessing what that will be about.
We're off to the centre of Kos tonight and I'm quite excited not just because of the free food and drink but we are dining at a restaurant that over looks the square where Hippocrates taught medicine I'm sure it will be the most touristy place in tourist land but still I've a light tingle of excitement. The view of rural Kos was pleasant even though we
were stuck on a coach
My next 'Keynote' adventure is in the Poseidon 1 room so it will probably go down a storm! Boom Boom it's the way I tell 'em. Hunt Drew turned out to be online support services.
We were trying to take the piss out of (we sent him our autographs) the host whom we nicknamed 'Televisions flying doctor David Bull' He was actually a really nice guy and thoroughly entertaining and he let me have this moment of glory.
Wow scanners, especially digital product manufacturer* ones are very, very good because of the DSNU removal........... And on and on and on. Why is everything called the pipeline? Work Travel Pipeline would be the process of how you get to work for instance.
Some of the lectures are very interesting and I've learnt some things that are actually very cool. The best thing about today is that this afternoon we are sitting around the pool and then going to the beach for
a BBQ.
