I fell very depressed by the US election result. I think it's interesting that Bush won by so much when it looked so close. The fact he won though doesn't bode well for the rest of the world. Bush voters probably don't care all that much what the rest of the world though. American foreign policy has always been easy to knock basically because so many nations are envious of their resources and of course some dubious alliances but when you loose France and Germany there's something wrong. France and Germany might be old Europe but Hungary and the Czech republic certainly aren't the new powers of Europe. I read in a recent poll that George Bush lost a rest of the world election gaining only 9% of the vote so I have to wonder what the Ameican people see in him.
