I'm blogging from the 19:30 Kings Cross to Leeds 'Mallard' service. I see the link; The Mallard held the train speed record at some point and ran a similar route to this particular train but I can't help thinking there would have been a more elegant name. Mallard congers up the image of well I don't know. Perhaps they should have called it the Really Fucking Bumpy.
